KSP charges Muhlenberg man with child sexual exploitation offenses

DUNMOR - The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crime Branch, assisted by KSP Post 2-Madisonville, Thursday afternoon arrested Thomas D. Craig, 39, for distribution and possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor.

Craig was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after observing the suspect uploading child sexual exploitation images online, according to a KSP news release.

The investigation resulted in the execution of a search warrant of Craig’s residence, where electronic equipment was seized and is pending a forensic examination.

Craig is currently charged with 33 counts of distribution and three counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor. Each charge is a Class-D felony punishable by one to five years in prison.

Craig was lodged in the Muhlenberg County Detention Center.
